Section 11.17.020. Purpose.

  • Outdoor recreation, open space and historic properties development fund money may be used  
    		(1) to pay the nonfederal share of projects which are initiated by the state to acquire, develop, or extend outdoor recreation facilities and to acquire, preserve, or protect historic sites, buildings, and monuments;  
    		(2) to pay up to one-half the nonfederal share of projects which are initiated by municipalities to acquire, develop, or extend outdoor recreation sites and facilities and to acquire, preserve or protect historic sites, buildings, and monuments;  
    		(3) to make loans of amounts necessary to enable municipalities to make option payments on parks and open space land for the acquisition of which federal funds are anticipated; and  
    		(4) to reimburse municipalities $1 for every $4 of money that they have expended on the development of outdoor recreation facilities, or the preservation of historic sites, buildings and monuments, since October 1, 1970, when the funds so received will be spent for additions or improvements to the properties on which the original expenditures of local money were made.
