Section 11.20.987. Use of horses, mules, and burros.

(a) The use of horses, mules, and burros is allowed in the following state recreation areas: (1) Blair Lake State Recreation Area; and (2) Tokositna State Recreation Area. (b) The use of horses, mules and burros in a state recreation area described in (a) of this section is subject to the following conditions: (1) a group using 10 or more animals shall obtain a park use permit under 11 AAC 18.010 before entering the recreation area; (2) tethering horses, mules, and burros within 100 feet of fresh water is prohibited; and (3) loose herding of animals is prohibited.
