Section 11.34.130. Quarantine regulations; inspections.

(a) The director may establish, maintain and enforce such quarantine regulations as he deems necessary to protect the agricultural industry of this state from pests, by establishing quarantine at the boundaries of this state or elsewhere within the state. He may make and enforce such rules and regulations as are necessary to prevent any plant or thing which is or is liable to be infested or infected by or which might act as a carrier of any pest, from passing over any quarantine line established and proclaimed pursuant to this chapter. The person conducting the inspection shall not permit any such plant or thing to pass over the quarantine line during quarantine, except upon a certificate of inspection and release signed by him. (b) No person shall conceal from plant quarantine officers any plant or fail to present the same or any quarantined article for inspection at the request of such officer.
