A purchaser of timber under this chapter and the purchaser's employees and subcontractors shall conduct their operations under the timber sale contract in a safe and workmanlike manner in compliance with the state occupational safety and health standards for logging established by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development and shall take the steps reasonably necessary to allow the agent of the division to safely scale and inspect cutting, logging, construction, or other activities of the purchaser under the contract.
