(a) If drilling, including redrilling, sidetracking, or other means necessary to reach the originally proposed bottom hole location, has commenced on or before the expiration date of the primary term of the lease and is continued through that date with reasonable diligence, the lease will continue in full force until 90 days after the drilling has ceased and for so long after that date as oil or gas is produced in paying quantities. (b) In (a) of this section, "drilling" means operations necessary or convenient to drilling a well in the ground with equipment of sufficient size and capacity to drill to the total depth proposed for the well.
