(a) The commissioner will, in the commissioner's discretion, audit expenditures claimed by an applicant by inspecting all reports, bills, receipts, and other information filed in support of or relating to eligible costs, whether or not that information is confidential. Upon written request, the commissioner will hold submitted information confidential. (b) When requested by the commissioner, an applicant shall provide the commissioner additional expenditure information that the commissioner considers necessary to determine eligible costs or calculate the amount of the credit. (c) Failure of an applicant to provide information requested by the commissioner under (b) of this section within 30 days of the applicant's receipt of the request will void the credit, unless excused for good cause by the department.
