Section 12.06.030. Professional boxing license.

  • 	(a)  To qualify for a professional boxing license an applicant must submit  
    		(1) an application on a form provided by the commission;  
    		(2) the fees required by AS 05.10.120;  
    		(3) an official copy of the applicant's birth certificate, or a notarized copy of the applicant's driver's license, on a form provided by the department, verifying that the applicant is at least 18 years of age;  
    		(4) a statement of the applicant's record as an amateur, club, and professional boxer; and  
    		(5) a statement identifying the applicant's licensed manager and trainer.  
    	(b)  Repealed 4/29/91.  
    	(c)  An applicant under the age of 18, or over the age of 36 years, will not be granted a professional boxing license or have a license renewed, unless special consideration is given by the commission to the applicant's physical condition.  
    	(d)  The commission will not issue or renew a professional boxing license to any applicant who is found to be blind in one eye or whose vision in one eye is so poor that the examining physician recommends that no license be granted. This subsection applies regardless of how good the applicant's vision is in the other eye.  
    	(e)  The commission will not issue a professional boxing license to a person who has suffered cerebral hemorrhage or any other serious head injury.
