(a) A female contestant may not engage in a boxing contest with a male contestant. (b) In addition to meeting the requirements of this chapter that are applicable to contestants generally, a female contestant shall (1) use a mouthpiece specially designed for her mouth; (2) wear 10-ounce gloves in a contest; (3) wear a breast protector as a binder; (4) have her hair secured in a manner that does not interfere with the vision or safety of either contestant; and (5) use a minimum of cosmetics. (c) A female contestant may not engage in a boxing contest if she is pregnant as determined by the test required in 12 AAC 06.115(b). (d) A contest between female contestants must be limited to 10 rounds of two minutes duration each.
