(a) A member, or designee, of the board may issue a temporary mobile intensive care paramedic permit to an applicant who meets the requirements of 12 AAC 40.310. (b) A temporary permit is valid for eight months or until the board meets and considers the application, whichever occurs first. (c) The board will, in its discretion, renew a temporary permit for good cause, one time only. (d) A temporary permit will be withdrawn by the board if the physician sponsorship is withdrawn. (e) In this section, "temporary permit" means a permit issued by a member, or designee, of the board to an individual who has applied for licensure, has fulfilled the requirements set out in 12 AAC 40.310, and is awaiting the next meeting of the board for consideration of the application.
