(a) After a hearing under AS 44.62, the board will, in its discretion, deny approval of a nursing education program if it determines that the program fails substantially to meet the standards for nursing education defined by the board. (b) After a hearing under AS 44.62, the board may revoke approval if (1) the program has been unable to achieve minimal standards within two years of being placed on conditional approval under 12 AAC 44.055; or (2) the board determines that a nursing education program has not provided sufficient evidence that the standards of nursing education are being met. (c) The board will, in its discretion, consider reinstatement of approval of a nursing education program upon submission of satisfactory evidence that the program meets the standards of nursing education.
