(a) The board may issue a temporary certification to an applicant for certification by endorsement who meets the requirements of 12 AAC 44.805 and 12 AAC 44.810(a) and is waiting for the report of state and national criminal justice information under 12 AAC 44.812. (b) The board may issue a temporary certification to an applicant for certification by examination who meets the requirements of 12 AAC 44.800 and 12 AAC 44.810(a) and is waiting for the report of state and national criminal justice information under 12 AAC 44.812. (c) A temporary certification issued under (a) or (b) of this section is valid for six months from the date of issuance or until a permanent certification is issued or denied, whichever occurs first.
