Section 13.02.257. Emerging from alley, driveway, or building.

The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, building, private road, or driveway shall stop the vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or onto the sidewalk area extending across the alley, building entrance, road, or driveway. If there is no sidewalk area, the driver shall stop at a point nearest the street to be entered where he has a view of approaching traffic on the street. If the driver's vision is restricted by buildings, parked vehicles, weather, or other conditions, he shall give warning with the horn of the vehicle after stopping and before proceeding.
