(a) The department will provide or approve a form or format for an agency to report information to the repository under this chapter, including personal descriptors of the subject of the information. (b) Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, an agency that reports information to the repository shall have the information entered in APSIN (1) by a designated employee assigned an APSIN access code under 13 AAC 68.215(f); (2) if approved by the department, through an electronic interface between an automated data processing system and APSIN; or (3) if approved by the department, by sending the information to another agency that agrees to report the information to the repository by a method described in (1) or (2) of this subsection. (c) An agency that is permitted by this chapter to report information to the repository by mail is considered to have met is obligation if the information is postmarked within a time limit imposed under this chapter.
