In this chapter (1) "commissioner" means the commissioner of the department; (2) "department" means the Department of Public Safety; (3) "designated base port" means the home port for a vessel as specified in 13 AAC 69.030; (4) "interport differential" has the meaning given the term in AS 36.90.049(e); (5) "vessel" means a marine vessel operated by the department that is more than 100 feet in overall length.
