Section 15.125.495. Releasing a lien.

(a) The agency will release a lien recorded or filed under AS 25.27.230 if the (1) underlying support order is satisfied; (2) agency closes the case because the obligor's location is unknown, and the agency has made diligent efforts to locate the obligor over a (A) three-year period if information is sufficient to use an automated locate effort; or (B) one-year period if information is insufficient to use an automated locate effort; or (3) person to whom support is owed under the support order withdraws from agency services and all child support arrears under the order are owed to that person. (b) If the agency releases a lien under this section, within 15 days after the agency receives the recorded release, the agency will notify the obligor by first class mail of the release.
