Section 15.151.225. Duty in public health service.

  • 	(a)  A person is a qualified veteran for purposes of the veterans' mortgage program if the person satisfies the requirements of 15 AAC 151.220(b) with regard to the duty described in this section and if the person has served on full-time duty, other than for training purposes, as a commissioned officer of the Public Health Service, or of the Reserve Corps of the Public Health Service, after July 28, 1945, or, if the duty occurred before July 29, 1945, under circumstances affording entitlement to full military benefits.  
    	(b)  For the purposes of (a) of this section, the Corporation will, in its discretion, seek the assistance of the Veterans Administration in determining whether an individual's service before July 29, 1945, in the Public Health Service was under circumstances affording entitlement to full military benefits.
