(a) A lessee, permittee, or concessionaire who owns or operates an aircraft involved in an aircraft accident or incident on an airport shall report the accident or incident to the airport manager within one hour of the accident or incident or as soon as possible thereafter. (b) A lessee, permittee, or concessionaire who owns or operates a vehicle involved in an accident that occurs on an airport and that involves bodily injury or death or property damage to any one person in excess of $500 shall report the accident to the airport manager within one hour after the accident or as soon as possible thereafter. (c) If a lessee, permittee, or concessionaire is injured or damaged by the state, a state employee, or state property on an airport, the person or owner of the property, as applicable, shall report the accident to the airport manager within one hour after the injury or damage or as soon as possible thereafter. (d) The department may seek reimbursement from a person who damages airport property or is otherwise responsible for that damage for the department's costs to repair or replace the damaged property and for any related costs incurred by the department, including legal and administrative costs. (e) In this section, (1) "aircraft accident" has the meaning given in 49 C.F.R. 830.2; (2) "incident" has the meaning given in 49 C.F.R. 830.2.
