The owner or operator of a certified station shall (1) maintain at the station legible copies of all work orders, repair estimates, vehicle inspection reports, invoices used to document repairs and inspections, and any other document related to the I/M program; (2) ensure that records are kept for at least two years after the date of the repair or inspection unless collected by the implementing agency; (3) make the records available for inspection by the implementing agency or another law enforcement official; and (4) keep and maintain the records so that they are immediately accessible by using information recorded on the VIR prepared for each vehicle.
