(a) Litter receptacles placed in compliance with this chapter must (1) hold at least 10 gallons; (2) keep their original shape when placed outdoors; (3) resist rust, corrosion, and other degradation; (4) conform with fire, safety, and public health laws, ordinances, and regulations; (5) reasonably resist movement and destruction by vandals, winds, and animals; (6) prevent blowing of litter from the receptacle; and (7) attract attention and encourage the deposit of litter. (b) Litter receptacles in place before July 1, 1980, satisfy the requirements of this section if the anti-litter decal described in 18 AAC 64.020 appears on the receptacle.
