A licensee shall maintain a record showing the name, date of birth, address, phone number, and license or instruction permit number of each person given instruction, the particular vehicle class and type of instruction given, and how much time was devoted to each type of instruction. The record must be maintained for at least three years and open to the inspection of the department at all times.
