(a) The commission will, in its discretion, order a reconsideration of its decision on its own motion within 30 days of a final commission decision. (b) An applicant or other party may file a petition for reconsideration of a final commission decision within 30 days after the date of the decision. The petition for reconsideration by the applicant or other party must specify the grounds upon which the petitioner believes the decision to be erroneous. The commission will grant reconsideration only if the commission determines that a question of law, fact, or discretion exists that might lead the commission to modify or reverse its final decision. If the petition for reconsideration is not granted within 30 days after the receipt of the petition, it is denied.
