Section 20.05.734. Point system for the Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery.

(a) Past Participation Points. A maximum of 90 points will be awarded to an applicant for past participation in the Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery. (1) Captain participation points. Captain participation points may be claimed for the 1985 and 1986 seasons, as shown on the following schedule: Season Available Points 1986 54 1985 48 (2) Crewmember participation points. Crewmember participation points may be claimed for the 1985 and 1986 seasons, as shown on the following schedule: Season Available Points 1986 14 1985 12 (b) Economic Dependence: Vessel Investment Points. An applicant may claim a maximum of 10 points for ownership, as of January 1, 1987, of a vessel that the applicant used or intended to use in the Nelson Island herring gillnet fishery. If more than one applicant claims ownership of the same vessel, the commission will, in its discretion, divide the available points between the applicants according to each applicant's relative share of the vessel ownership. Vessel investment points may be claimed under this subsection only if the applicant qualifies for captain participation points under (a)(1) of this section.
