Section 20.16.238. Courses and credits.

  • For the purposes of AS 14.43.830(a)(1)(D), to comply with the requirement to provide courses and credits that can result in the issuance of a degree or certificate available at the institution within a time frame expected for that degree or certificate, an institution must  
    		(1) publish in its annual catalog the expected time to complete the program, based on the planned sequence of course offerings at that institution;  
    		(2) clearly indicate any courses that must be taken in specific sequence or that are not offered each term, and the impact on meeting the timeline for a student who does not complete the courses in the recommended order or at the recommended times; and  
    		(3) provide options for independent study, course substitution, transfer from other institutions, or similar options, at no additional cost to the student, if the institution is not able to offer the courses required in order to meet the timeline published under (1) of this section.
