(a) The council will evaluate each application for an individual fellowship grant as set out in the guidelines and application form, adopted by reference in 20 AAC 30.983(3), and using the following criteria: (1) the quality of applicant's work as demonstrated in the supporting materials required under 20 AAC 30.260(2)(C); (2) the level of artistic or arts education activity as described in resume or profile required under 20 AAC 30.260(2)(B); (3) the extent to which the grant furthers the development of the applicant's artistic or arts education career; (4) the applicant's previous artistic or arts education contributions in the state. (b) Among competing grant applications, the council will give preference to an applicant who has not previously received an individual fellowship grant.
