Section 21.25.160. Ombudsman access to agency records.
Latest version.
-
(a) When the ombudsman requires that an agency provide records pursuant to AS 24.55.160(a)(4), the ombudsman will determine a reasonable time for production of the records. If the agency requests additional time for production of records, the ombudsman may allow additional time. However, the ombudsman will not grant additional time longer than 15 days unless the ombudsman concludes that the agency has demonstrated unusual circumstances justifying the delay. (b) The ombudsman will not pay costs of copying or personnel time when an agency is complying with AS 24.55.160. The ombudsman may assign a member of the ombudsman's staff to search for and copy agency records, if the ombudsman anticipates that the scope of the request will place extraordinary demands upon the agency personnel.
