Section 22.20.195. Purpose of conditions.

Latest version.
  • Conditions of parole serve the following purposes:
    		(1) notify the parolee of what conduct is permissible and what conduct is prohibited if the parolee is to remain in the community on parole;
    		(2) advise the parolee in writing of laws that have in the past been frequently violated by parolees, so the parolee does not inadvertently violate laws;
    		(3) require the parolee to advise the parole officer of major changes in the parolee's life so that any problems may be dealt with and a possible crisis averted;
    		(4) aid in the rehabilitation of the parolee; and
    		(5) protect the public by helping the parole officer monitor the parolee's activities in the community.
