Section 3.14.057. Appointment of registered agent.

(a) An applicant for a mortgage license must designate on the Form MU1 a registered agent for service of process located in this state. The registered agent must be an agent of the mortgage licensee upon whom process, notice, or demand required or permitted by law to be served upon the mortgage licensee may be served. (b) If applicant for a mortgage license is a business entity, the registered agent on the Form MU1 must be the person filed as registered agent for the business entity with the department division overseeing corporations. (c) A mortgage licensee shall continuously maintain a registered agent in this state and provide the department, through the registry, with the registered agent's name, physical and mailing address, telephone number, and electronic email address.
