(a) Repealed 1/1/2005. (b) Repealed 1/1/2005. (c) An appropriate allocation of assets equal to the interest maintenance reserve of the annual statement must be used in the asset adequacy analysis. The analysis of risks regarding asset default may include an appropriate allocation of assets supporting the asset valuation reserve. These asset valuation reserve assets may not be applied to any other risks with respect to reserve adequacy. The analysis of asset default risk and other risks may include assets supporting other mandatory or voluntary reserves available to the extent they are not used for risk analysis and reserve support. The total amount of assets used for the asset valuation reserve used must be disclosed in the actuarial opinion, and the memorandum must disclose the method used for selecting a particular asset or allocated portion of an asset.
