(a) A licensee may request credit for completion of an insurance-related course organized and conducted by an entity that is not approved by the director as a continuing education provider. The director will consider the educational value of the course. (b) A request to the director to consider and manually process a continuing education course for credit under this section must include (1) documentation signed by an instructor or other person in charge verifying the licensee's successful completion of the course; (2) documentation of the course content in sufficient detail to enable the director to determine the amount of credit, if any, the licensee merits for successfully completing the course; and (3) proof that the licensee has paid the processing fee under 3 AAC 31.060.
