(a) Each public meeting will be tape recorded by the commission. The recording will serve as the commission's official record of the public meeting. The recording will be retained for a period of five years in accordance with the commission's records retention schedule approved under AS 40.21.030. (b) A transcript of a public meeting will not be prepared by the commission unless specifically ordered by the commission or requested by an interested member of the public. The person who requests a transcript shall bear the cost of its preparation. If a transcript is ordered or requested, it will be prepared in accordance with the provisions of 3 AAC 48.156. The original transcript, tapes, and exhibits will be delivered to the commission. (c) A person who requests a copy of a tape or a transcript shall pay for the cost of preparing that copy, as set by the commission.
