Section 3.48.450. Applicability and purpose.

	(a)  The provisions of 3 AAC  48.450 - 3 AAC 48.490 apply to a pipeline carrier proposing to implement or revise a simplified pipeline tariff for a designated pipeline facility.  
	(b)  The purpose of 3 AAC 48.450 - 3 AAC 48.490 is to create a separate class of  pipeline facilities under AS 42.06.620, each of which is referred to as a designated pipeline facility. A pipeline carrier may maintain as its effective tariff or as a portion of its effective tariff for a designated pipeline facility a simplified form of tariff.
