	(a)  Initial and revised surcharge tariff filings are subject to 3 AAC 48.240 and 3 AAC 48.280.  
	(b)  The utility shall notify customers by bill insert, or other method specified in the approved surcharge tariff, before filing periodic updates of a surcharge rate. An additional notice of a surcharge rate update will not be required unless ordered by the commission.
