Section 3.53.765. Service requirements.

	(a)  An incumbent local exchange carrier that the commission has assigned public interest pay telephone responsibility shall maintain and serve the public interest pay telephones in accordance with 3 AAC 53.820 - 3 AAC 53.899.  
	(b)  An incumbent local exchange carrier that the commission has assigned public interest pay telephone responsibility may not abandon service without prior approval of the commission.
