Section 4.12.395. Teaching endorsements.

(a) The department will endorse a teacher certificate under 4 AAC 12.305 if the applicant provides (1) a recommendation from an approved preparation program accepted under 4 AAC 12.307(a) with an attestation verifying the applicant's completion of an approved educational program at the institution in the level or area for which endorsement is sought; and (2) for each endorsement area listed on the recommendation provided under (1) of this subsection, a score that meets or exceeds the required score on a content area examination for any endorsement area designated in 4 AAC 12.407 or each equivalent content area examination required by a certifying state agency for an endorsement on a comparable certificate held by the applicant. (b) In addition to the endorsements qualified for under (a) of this section, the endorsements on a master teacher certificate issued under 4 AAC 12.305(c) include the same endorsements as those on the applicant's national board certificate.
