In this chapter, unless context indicates otherwise, (1) "ACT" means the ACT high school achievement and college admissions examination administered by ACT, Inc.; (2) "Alaska performance scholarship" means the scholarship program established under AS 14.43.810 - 14.43.849; (3) "Alaska performance achievement scholarship" means an Alaska performance scholarship at the award level described under AS 14.43.825(a)(2); (4) "Alaska performance honors scholarship" means an Alaska performance scholarship at the top award level described under AS 14.43.825(a)(1); (5) "Alaska performance opportunity scholarship" means an Alaska performance scholarship at the award level described under AS 14.43.825(a)(3); (6) "commissioner" means the Commissioner of Education and Early Development; (7) "home-based education program" means an educational program that qualifies the student for an exemption under AS 14.30.010(b)(12) from the compulsory education requirement of AS 14.30.010(a); (8) "SAT" means the SAT high school achievement and college admissions test administered by College Board, Inc.; (9) "standardized examinations" means the ACT, SAT, or WorkKeys examinations; (10) "unit of credit" has the meaning given in 4 AAC 06.075(e); (11) "WorkKeys" means the WorkKeys Job Skills Assessment administered by ACT, Inc.
