(a) Salmon may be taken by seines and gillnets, or with gear specified on a subsistence fishing permit, except that in Chignik Lake salmon may not be taken with purse seines. A gillnet may not be set, staked, anchored, or otherwise fixed in a stream while it obstructs more than one-half of the width of the waterway and any channel or side channel of the waterway. (b) Fish other than salmon may be taken by gear listed in 5 AAC 01.010(a), unless restricted under the terms of a subsistence fishing permit. (c) Halibut may be taken for subsistence purposes only by a single handheld line with no more than two hooks attached.
