(a) A herring set gillnet may not exceed 35 fathoms in length. A person may not operate more than 105 fathoms of set gillnet in the aggregate. Notwithstanding 5 AAC 27.050(c), the mesh size of a herring set gillnet may not be less than two inches and may not exceed two and one-half inches. (b) A person may not operate a herring drift gillnet that is more than 150 fathoms in length.
