(a) Registration Area J is a nonexclusive registration area. (b) A vessel validly registered to fish for shrimp with trawl gear in Registration Area J may fish for shrimp with trawl gear in Registration Area G without registering for that registration area. (c) In Registration Area J, a vessel owner, or the owner's agent, shall register the vessel for the district in which the vessel will fish. A shrimp fishing vessel may not be registered to take shrimp in more than one district at a time. The department may require check-in and check-out procedures on the vessel registration form for fishing in specified sections within the registration district.
