Section 7.05.460. Burial-transit permits.

(a) A dead body or fetus of 20 weeks or more gestation may not be finally disposed of, or removed from the state, until a burial-transit permit has been issued by the proper local registrar or other agent duly authorized by the state registrar. A burial-transit permit shall be obtained in any case within 72 hours after death or delivery, unless an extension of time is granted under 7 AAC 05.550 - 7 AAC 05.570. (b) A burial-transit permit is not required to transport a body to the state medical examiner or the state medical examiner's designee.
