Section 7.33.065. Criteria for patient selection.

(a) The protocol shall designate the person having final responsibility for determining whether an applicant is minimally suitable for treatment. Criteria for this determination shall be set forth in the program's protocol. (b) The following minimum criteria shall be met in the selection of each maintenance treatment patient and shall be documented in the patient's chart: (1) confirmed documented history of at least two years' addiction on admission; (2) confirmed history of two or more failures of withdrawal treatment with subsequent relapse to regular narcotic use; (3) a minimum age of 18 years; and (4) evidence of current addiction to heroin or other morphine-like drugs on admission.
