  • If an applicant is granted General Relief Medical assistance for treatment of an injury negligently or intentionally caused by another person, institution, corporation, or public or private agency, details of the incident from which the injury arose must be noted on the application to facilitate possible recovery. Unless the tort feasor is judgment-proof, the applicant will be required to assign his cause of action to the state, or repay the value of the assistance he has received if he refuses to make such an assignment.
