(a) Unless extended by the division in its discretion, a facility licensed before March 1, 1998 has until September 1, 1998 or the date by which its license must be renewed or converted from provisional to biennial status, whichever is sooner, in which to make any changes to the physical environment of the facility or obtain any new documentation required under this chapter. (b) The licensing representative will not assess compliance with the requirements of this chapter by a facility licensed before March 1, 1998 until the facility's license is renewed or converted from provisional to biennial status, or until an investigation of an allegation of noncompliance with a requirement of AS 47.35 or this chapter, whichever occurs first.
