Section 7.52.035. Placement in treatment program.

All juveniles accepted by a facility must be classified and placed within a treatment program consistent with the treatment and rehabilitative needs of the individual. The superintendent or superintendent's designee shall assign a juvenile to a living unit within the facility upon consideration of the juvenile's permanent record, recommendations of the probation officer and facility staff, and any psychological testing administered to the juvenile. A treatment team established under 7 AAC 52.200 shall meet within two weeks after the date on which a juvenile is received at the facility. On the basis of information available, the team shall establish treatment goals, prescribe treatment strategy and techniques, establish a vocational or academic training program or both, and assign a counselor.
