Before a subsequent placement is made into an adoptive or guardianship home, the home study must be made up-to-date within the 30-day period before the intended subsequent placement. The home study for a subsequent placement must be in writing and must include (1) at least one individual interview with each applicant individually; (2) at least one visit to the home when all individuals living in the home are present; (3) observation of the adjustment of the children in the family and how the children feel about the addition of another child; and (4) updates, as appropriate, on areas addressed in the home study for the initial placement.
