(a) In conducting the physical examination required by 7 AAC 72.240, the physician shall determine whether the patient has any reasonably apparent physical problems that require specialized medical care and treatment, and that may either more urgently require care than the patient's present psychiatric problems, or cause or aggravate the patient's psychiatric problems. (b) The physical examination required by 7 AAC 72.240 must include (1) an examination of the patient's chief complaint; (2) a review of the patient's history; (3) a review of systems; (4) a routine physical examination; (5) a diagnosis; and (6) the physician's recommendations.
