(a) If a federal or state statute or regulation requires confidentiality in a grant program, the department will establish procedures for preserving that confidentiality before the commissioner awards the grant. The department will include the procedures as part of the terms of the grant agreement. (b) Personally identifiable information obtained from a grantee by the department relating to a recipient of services paid for, in whole or part, by the department is confidential under AS 40.25.120(a).
