Section 8.45.415. Definition of rehabilitation specialist.

For purposes of AS 23.30.041(r)(6), 8 AAC 45.400, and 8 AAC 45.410 (1) a "certified insurance rehabilitation specialist" means a person currently certified by the Certification of Insurance Rehabilitation Specialists Commission; the address of this commission is available upon request from the administrator; (2) a "certified rehabilitation counselor" means a person currently certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification; the address of this commission is available upon request from the administrator; (3) a "person who has equivalent or better qualifications" means (A) a person in another country who has at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college and a minimum of four years of full-time, paid employment providing vocational rehabilitation services to disabled persons receiving benefits from a disability compensation system; or (B) a person currently certified by the Disability Management Specialists Commission as a "certified disability management specialist"; the address of this commission is available upon request from the administrator.
