Section 12.06.050. License to referee boxing contests.

(a) To qualify for a license as a referee of a professional or club boxing contest, an applicant must (1) submit an application on a form provided by the commission and pay the required fee; (2) be at least 21 years of age; (3) have at least one year's experience in either amateur or professional boxing as a referee or judge; (4) submit verifications from three persons of the applicant's proficiency as a referee or judge; and (5) submit proof of having satisfactorily completed a physical examination within the 30 days before the initial application or renewal date. (b) The commission will, in its discretion, waive the requirements of (a)(3) of this section for an applicant for a club boxing referee license.
