Section 12.44.510. Scope of practice.

  • 	(a)  A certified registered nurse anesthetist may perform, within the scope of the person's educational preparation, procedures set out in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists' Scope of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, revised as of 2013 and adopted by reference.  
    	(b)  A certified registered nurse anesthetist may administer anesthesia in consultation with  
    		(1) the medical director of the anesthesia service, or a qualified medical designee of the director;  
    		(2) the primary physician or qualified physician designee of the primary physician, responsible for the patient's immediate care; or  
    		(3) the primary dentist, or qualified dentist designee of the primary dentist, responsible for the patient's immediate care.
