(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a vehicle must have on the rear, either as a part of the taillights or separately, two or more red reflectors mounted at a height not less than 20 inches, except that if the highest part of the permanent structure of the vehicle is less than 24 inches, the reflector must be mounted as high as that part of the permanent structure will permit. The reflectors must be as widely spaced laterally as practicable, and be visible at night from all distances within 600 feet of the vehicle. (b) Repealed 6/28/79.
